What is engage with your club all about?

We want to help community rugby league clubs to proactively recruit volunteers to improve the provision of the sport at their local club.

Initially its one day, one focal point when members, friends and family can donate their time to perform some manual tasks and spruce the facilities ready for the new season. Many hands make light work... or so they say!

How can we help?

We have put together a number of online resources to help you set up your event and identified ways to gain support from your club membership. These can be found on the action pack pages.

The first 35 clubs to apply will get a support pack sent out to them.

In addition, all can apply for one of two makeovers worth up to £5,000.

What are the benefits?

More volunteers and improved facilities!

  • A taskforce working to get the club ready for the new season.
  • Affordable enhancements to current facilities.
  • An opportunity for members and supporters to get more involved in 'behind the scene' club activities.
  • In turn, involvement will harbour greater pride in the club after individuals have given up time and their hard work.
  • The promotion of further involvement to members for any future volunteering.

Why should I register my club?

We want as many clubs to run these self-help days as possible - improving the provision of the sport nationwide. When clubs register they create a wave of positive messaging that others will follow. We not only use this from club to club but also via regional and national media.

The first 35 clubs to register also get a support pack that includes posters, t-shirts and potentially a small donation towards equipment costs.

All clubs that have been registered can also apply for one of two makeovers worth up to £5,000.

We already run a volunteer day. Why should we register for this?

For those clubs that already do something similar we want to help them maximise the opportunity as well as tell every other club that it is something they already do.

What if we cannot run our engage with your club community day on either of the 6th/7th or 13th/14th August?

Don't worry. This weekend was selected so we had a focal point for the whole campaign. If, for whatever reason, these are not suitable dates then it doesn't not effect your involvement.

How do I register my club?
